ADHD: I get it
because I have it, too.
ADHD is more than not being able to concentrate or sit still. It can affect our entire life, including trouble with relationships, feeling shame or guilt, and constantly feeling on edge. We often can feel overwhelmed, isolated, and full of self-doubt.
But here’s the thing: being neurodivergent (ND) is simply who we are. Once we understand the many the ways that our ADHD shows up, we can figure out what we need, how to take care of ourselves, and how to live “loud and proud” as a neurodivergent person.
If you’d like to find out how that can happen: check this out.
Neurodivergence often brings a date…
… and it’s not a fun date.
Recent studies show that those of us with neurodivergence struggle with anxiety, depression, or both at a significantly higher rate than neurotypical folks.
On top of that, we also often struggle with insomnia or sleep problems, which can exacerbate feelings of anxiety or depression.
Therapy can help. Together, we can start to help you understand how to support yourself differently and relieve those very difficult feelings.
Asking for help doesn’t mean you’re weak. It’s the first step in living a better life.
The Convenience of Telehealth
Connect Anywhere
My practice is 100% telehealth- from the intake documents to our sessions, to billing and sharing secure messages. My clients have reported loving telehealth because of its accessibility, allowing them to connect anywhere. They feel more at ease having therapy in the comfort of their home, office, or even their “car office,” (parked, of course, for safety!).
Telehealth can be great for those of us with ADHD, too, because of our struggles with time. It eliminates the need to plan for travel time in order to connect.
Struggling with Reaching Out?
I get it. Really.
